About Me:

I am a person- centred counsellor which means I believe you are the expert on yourself and your life. My solutions may not be yours, so I can offer information but I will not advise you on what to do, but empower you to find the answers.

As an integrative counsellor I am trained to draw on a variety of skills and theories that best suits you as an individual.  I can also work creatively, with drawing, life-lines and shell work if you would like to use different forms of expression.

Work Experience;

I am currently working privately as a counsellor from my home address. The majority of my career has been in the drug and alcohol abuse field. I have worked at the following Bristol based charities;

  • One25- A charity offering support to female street based sex workers

  • BDP (Bristol Drugs Project)- Families affected by substance abuse

  • CAAAD- A community based substance abuse drop-in

  • Prospects- A re-hab for male offenders and substance users

I completed my BACP accredited Counselling Diploma in 2012 at Bristol University and went on to complete my Masters in 2013. I have worked as a counsellor at;

  • Network (long term generic counselling)

  • Kinergy (specialist sexual abuse and rape counselling agency)

  • Oasis Talk (NHS Iapt service, short-term counselling)

The excellent supervision I have received has kept me well informed and effective. 

 

Also….

I am a Mum of two young boys who keep me very busy and grounded. I am resilient and effective due to the unwavering support from my friends and family.

In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit, socialising, softball, gardening and surfing.
